FAQ

How many maps does Hood Warfare 2 have?
Four at launch, according to the Steam store page: Downtown, the Suburbs, The Trenches and Chicago Mall.
Is there a Nuketown map in Hood Warfare 2?
Some players have described a small map that feels like Nuketown, but the official map list on Steam names only four maps. We will update this page if more maps are confirmed.

What maps are in Hood Warfare 2?

The Steam store page names four maps, all set in Chicago, and the Gamers.Wiki review also counts four. Steam describes them as places where you “hold down the streets or take the fight indoors, with different routes and positions to learn on each map.”

Map Setting
Downtown Downtown Chicago
Suburbs Houses and backyards (per players)
The Trenches Not documented yet
Chicago Mall Indoor shopping mall

All six game modes rotate through these four maps.

Downtown

Set in downtown Chicago. A detailed layout has not been published by a reliable source yet. If you find long sightlines, the 308 Sniper and “Old Head” DMR from the weapons list are the long-range options.

Suburbs

Hands-on players describe the Suburbs as tight backyard fights with lots of cover, which rewards third-person peeking and punishes standing in open streets (TposeGaming).

The Trenches

A map named on the Steam page. Detailed layout information has not been published by a reliable source yet; this section will be expanded when it is.

Chicago Mall

The indoor option: Steam describes taking “the fight indoors”. Close quarters favor SMGs like the Uzi and Mac 10 and the Pump Shotty.

What general map tips help?

  • Spawns rarely flip, according to hands-on players, so losing teams can get stuck in spawn traps. Rooftop camping is a common complaint.
  • Learn two routes per map. Steam highlights different routes and positions on each map; a flank route is how you break a spawn trap.
  • Practise with bots. Custom matches let you choose the map and fill teams with bots to learn layouts — see how to play.

Are more maps coming?

Trapstar Games has not announced new maps. A hands-on guide lists additional map names, but the official Steam description names four, so we treat extra maps as unconfirmed until an official source lists them. Track the game’s population on the player count page.
